Hi, i searched threads and they all seemed closed but i do have an outstanding question... hope you can help

I have several XDR cassettes. Some play the XDR tones and some don't. For instance i am playing Beatles - White Album. It has no apple logo, only parlophone logo. It has XDR on the spine of each cassette but XDR cover but does not appear on the tape shells. It does not play XDR tones at the start or end of the tape. So.. is the actual tape an XDR tape or just a normal tape but housed in an XDR cover?

So if it does turn out that its not an XDR cassette should i be looking for cassette shells that clearly state XDR on them?

    thanks in advance.

Mine has no XRD on the shell, but Apple Records, Capitol Records and EMI logos. XRD on spine and j-card.

That’s probably no help to your question, sorry.
