Here’s a few close up shots and then I promise no more until I’m all done...

Headphone rig next to couch. Woodstock poster is covering the ugly back of bookcase
    [IMG]

Close up of main 3 rigs. Systems listed above or in profile
    [IMG]

Everyone has a Beatles corner, right?

    The current speaker rig
    [IMG]

The last corner. Ignore the mess on the armoire, my workstation. Main Beatles collection is in the armoire
    [IMG]

My goal is to eliminate the downstairs archive completely but I’ve only got about half my record collection and no cds to speak of up here yet....so I’m thinking the back wall will be built ins floor to ceiling

Yes, you don’t think that the laine signed solo and wings pieces are related? he’s wearing a Wings shirt even...None of the Woolton Fete quarrymen guys who signed my program were in the Beatles either but it still seemed appropriate. Same with the Mimi Smith letter under the pepper print. Either way, I rotate through different things at different times as the mood strikes...

Anyway, you think that’s crazy, wait till you see my Byrds family tree wall...

Looking good even though I am not a Beatles fan, :hide: yes we're out there. But that headphone amp on the floor scares me if it was mine I would be guaranteed to step on it at some point.

Yes that won’t be there long, the plan is a shelf for the tt then it will sit on the end table where the Thorens 318 is now

Electrical and insulation finally done. Spray foam underneath the cellulose.

Thinner ? I used four layers of 1/2" drywall laminated, not screwed in a sound room one time, way better bass resolution.

Really love this- would love to know more about the build (I have Spatial M3s). What did you gain by going to the GRs? Is there a blog or something about your build process?

I was joking. My pride and joy is the image in my avatar. 5 Abbey Road outtake prints from the original negatives and signed by Iain Macmillan.

Moved to Charlottesville and had to say goodbye to the old digs. Here's a pic in its final iteration. I really will miss this space.

    Meanwhile...

Will be here until June 2021. Will post a few more pics when the space is fully set up.

Your current/former space is fantastic love the MCM vibe and your system blends in effortlessly. The new space is cool too with some potential to sound good but sounds like it's just an interim move, are you building a new house?

I'm no expert, but I think some carpeting will help the sound.

I hate carpeting, so it’s hardwood flooring through the whole house. I will have rugs in most rooms though.

Nothing specialized like that here. This room will serve as much as a library as a home theater. The whole back wall will covered with books, which should help for sound defusing.

Thanks. Just renting this house while we figure out the area and shop for our own house--building is also an option. The lease expires June 2021. We just got to town Tuesday and setting up the system was a top priority. The cocktail bar is coming soon.

Not sure. These are the Lore Reference which do have the option on the dropdown menu for wood veneers. Best to give him a call. I'm going to guess the wait for veneers will be months.
