It looks like we have discovered other labels for which Monarch pressed or made parts. Nice.

The label fonts on this one are from Stoughton Printing Co., initially of L.A., later of City of Industry. Now famous for their manufacture of 'tip-on' LP jackets for old albums being reish'd.

This must be a repress as the album came out in 1970, but the delta number points to late 1972 or early 1973.

The first write-ups in RS start 3/71 and the album peaked at #208 in 7/71 so probably more like 3/71 sounds right. Your point is taken however that the job number is high for it. I wonder if it was resurrected when his subsequent albums fared a little better on the charts. I probably see 100 later white/tan A&M label copies for every tan label I see.

As far as I know his first A&M album was Contribution (delta 14584) followed by Second Contribution and then Collaboration (delta 16458).

Ya I have seen them over the years a lot, never the right price/shape so I leave them. For some reason, almost every Second Contribution I run into is on the white/tan label. I'm going to start looking harder to find if there was an earlier Monarch job number for it. I bet it's very hard to find, the record only charted at 208.

Yes, I think Shawn Phillips's records never charted high but he played live often and had a following, so A&M kept his records in print through the 70's.
