Let's not forget the kazoo-like backing vocals. Even over-the-top Beatles is genious.
I’m just barking.
Almost everything after "I Feel Fine".
Surely that was all vegetables ?
Eight Days A Week (Number 1 in USA)
Of the early singles, Can’t Buy Me Love is the least original & my least favourite.
Yellow Submarine, I’ve just never been able to take seriously. It’s a stain on the excellent Revolver.
Hello, Goodbye is the type of nothing piano-led pop tune Macca would make all too often as time went on.
All their other ‘hits’ were mostly deservedly fab-tastic smashes full of innovative song-writing, musical ideas & production.
The Ballad of John and Yoko. I just find it a bit dull and uninspiring.
Don’t understand the concept...love em all
All You Need Is Love. Can't stand it.
Get Back and Come Together are a tie for me
I give up 5 selections...
1.The Long And Winding Road
2.Let It Be
5.All You Need Is Love
I've never been able to stomach The Long And Winding Road.
Ballad of John and Yoko
All those classic songs being led to the slaughterhouse...
Anyway, my choice?
Love Me Do.
It’s Beatles-Babies, a fresh, as yet undeveloped band with no idea about the future.
Lady Madonna . . . along with a number of McCartney-centric tracks from their later catalog.
"Yesterday". Just plain depressing.
Was "Here Comes The Sun" a hit? If so, that would be my least favorite. By far.
Hey Jude—-4 minutes of greatness followed by 3 minutes of boredom
My list is chronological, but it may be mine too
No, I don't remember that one either.
Least favourite: "Love Me Do" & "Yellow Submarine" (but, in some contexts, I like them. I like Patti screaming on Yellow submarine)
I just don't get why a lot of you think the 2nd half of Hey Jude is "boring"!
Total joy, total abandonment, and hypnotic. Whatever.
I'll go with "Can't Buy Me Love". Sure- it's exuberant and played well. But it's a stop-gap between "Hand" and "Hard Day's".
Doesn't really go anywhere.
I was going to pick "All You Need Is Love", but there's some great stuff happening in the song, despite the weird intro designed and arranged for the international "Our World" broadcast. I would LIKE to think the title as true, but unfortunately it is not. I like it anyway.
Same here, that's my vote.
I used to feel the same way. Over the last few years however, I've done a total 180 on the song. Now I love it!
