Thanks for the heads up. Fortunately I bought his last LP as a pre-order. It's currently listed on discogs for £99!

Same here, lovely album and nice vinyl copy.

I went to order this new cd one hour after it was announced and was listed as sold out, but by Monday they had (I assume) fixed the website so now available and ive pre-ordered.

I just picked up Possible Pop Songs Live on vinyl. Not a bad version at all. Odd that one side has no bands but the other does. It's really a 10 track version of Singing The Praises Of Finer Things.

I really enjoyed it enough to buy Singing The Praises Of Finer Things CD DVD version and get the complete show. looking forward to arriving in the mail.

    Really enjoy my China Crisis.

Great album. Difficult Shapes and Passive Rhythms, Some People Think It's Fun to Entertain is better IMO.

An appropriate band to listen to these days. Time to play something warped!

I don't believe i have that one, certainly, i'd know if i had THAT cover in my collection but not sure if songs have been reissued elsewhere? I'll check later.

That is one hell of a cover.

It's an alternate cover to the cover below. According to Discogs it's a French reissue from 1997. It's the CD I have.

I wish they'd press some more copies of last year's Gary Daly album. Classic Pop named it their #1 album for 2019 and yet it's not available anymore, not even digitally. Gary should take advantage of the renewed interest, I'd certainly buy a copy if I could.

    What a great album!

I hope that's a sign of something to come. Perhaps a CD/Vinyl release with a bonus disc of demos. I know I would buy both.

I listen to Autumn in the Neighbourhood on Spotify and everytime I do I enjoy just a little bit more than the previous time. Great for a walk with dog when my wife is not with me. I just put on my headphone and absorb the sounds of this brilliant album and the sights of my own neighborhood. The Steely Dan influence is still there with some songs like Fool but still overall deeply rooted in that China Crisis sound.

Must say I'm really enjoying this release although it helps if you enjoy listening to quite abstract music. It's fun trying to pick out which tracks were inspirations for finished China Crisis songs. Some are more easy to hear than others but Luna Bop is either a doodle that turned into Black Man Ray or a later reworking of that track. This is where some detailed sleeve notes about individual tracks would have come in useful. I've been listening to Luna Bop/Black Man Ray demo from the deluxe edition of Flaunt.../album track in that order and it makes for interesting listening.

Shall definitely be giving this more spins over the next few weeks.
